Spontaneous Sunday Stamping – Thoughtful Octopus Fun! - Lisa Marie Smith, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

This week on our Spontaneous Sunday Stamping YouTube Live, we had so much fun creating with the adorable Thoughtful Octopus stamp set! Both cards featured the beautiful new 2026–2028 In Colors and playful ocean-inspired details.

Rebecka created the sweetest birthday-themed octopus card — and she added a fun fold for an extra special touch! Her cheerful little octopus is ready to celebrate with a party hat and tiny cupcakes in every arm. The interactive fold design paired perfectly with the soft pastel In Colors, playful striped paper, and whimsical layout. This card is full of happy birthday vibes and so much personality!

I (Lisa Marie) created the second card using the same Thoughtful Octopus stamp set along with the gorgeous new Water Mask from the Water & Dotted Lines 12″ x 12″ Decorative Masks collection. The subtle water-inspired background added so much texture and movement to the design. I also incorporated the new 2026–2028 In Colors along with some fun netting details and sea-inspired elements for a soft coastal feel.

One of my favorite things about crafting together during these lives is seeing how two completely different card styles can come from the very same stamp set. Rebecka’s card feels bright, playful, interactive, and party-ready, while mine has a more serene under-the-sea feel — both equally adorable!
