Spontaneous Sunday Stamping last night was full of fun, technical difficulties and crazy FB behavior. Rebecka and I shared some swap cards, chatted about the new Mini catalog/Sale a Bration, and created two SPEC-TACO-LAR cards. We both LOVE a good pun! Unfortunately the video is a hot mess.First, my alarm went off and I accidentally changed the screen orientation and had to restart the video. Then FB was having issues and portions are blacked out or stuck on one image. But we are still going to share some great pictures and recipe cards. Woohoo!
First up
First we have Rebecka’s card. We both chose to use the Picture This Dies. Rebecka used the rectangles and in order to show that you don’t have to color everything. You can simply stamp open images on colored cardstock and even add a little color. The taco was stamped on Daffodil Delight then she added color for the lettuce and cheese. Plus the adorable little face with mustache. So cute!
Rebecka makes the best squiggles!
Check out the inside of Rebecka’s card! I am so jealous that she can draw adorable squiggles. I totally tried and it was not cute! Lol.
Next, NACHO average friend!
Hehee… I used the Picture This Dies, but I stamped my images on white and colored with the Blends. When I die cut the circles I knew I would need a template so I would have my images placed properly. I trimmed the Bermuda Bay (with the circles) to 3 3/4” x 5”. Then I wanted the white behind it to be a smidge smaller so I trimmed a sliver off on two sides. (approx. 3 5/8” x 4 7/8”)
I decided to lay the Die cut piece on top of the white and use a pencil to draw light marks to mark boundaries for when I stamped my images. After I stamped all of the images I colored them but, Holy Guacamole, I was not happy with my “salsa” so I stamped again on a scrap piece of white and made it Guacamole! Let’s be honest with the avocado there it needed to be guacamole! I fussy cut the Guacamole , made a small slit so i could tuck a chip in and then I used a Dimensionals to add it to the card.
