Hello & Happy Monday,
Today I have an awesome technique and some adorable treat bags for you. As you may know Rebecka & I do Spontaneous Sunday Stamping on FB every Sunday at 7:30 pm central . I will share the recorded video here for you too. Join us on FB here.
Misty Forest Technique
I wish I could remember who I saw showing this technique, I really need to remember to write these things down, so I can give credit. I didn’t even get to see how she finished the card but I watched enough to get the gist.
First start with Gray Granite cardstock and gently sponge White craft ink across the top. Then I grabbed the super cute little tree from the Most Wonderful Time of the Year stamp set. Inked it with Mossy Meadow and stamped twice , re-inked, stamped twice. Next I used the sponge again, inked it up and swiped from the top down , this is what gives you that misty look.
Next, because I wanted to use the same color but get a richer color I re- inked a section of the ink pad then inked the tree and stamped the lower portion of the card. Added a little more white , then Rebecka had the brilliant idea to sponge some Gray Granite along the bottom to create the ground. Added sentiments and we have two gorgeous Misty Forest scenes.
6×6 Treat Bags
After the cards we created a couple of super adorable treat bags. The Holidays will be here before we know it and we always need little treats for Teachers, family and our friends.
These bags are great because you only need one sheet of 6×6 Designer Series Paper (DSP) or a.k.a background paper.
Measurements: 6”x6” DSP
Score one side at 1.5” & 4.5”
Turn once and score at 2.25” & 3.75”
