Last tonight on Spontaneous Sunday Stamping we had a blast with new Stampin Up Natural Tone Blends. It was a rocky start, but we ended up with two gorgeous cards! We knew we wanted to play with the New Stampin’ Up Natural Tone Blends we just weren’t sure what that was going to look like. I can tell you the Natural Tone Blends are amazing. They make beautiful skin tones and so much more.
Calming Camellia
Here is the card I created with the Natural Tone Blends and the fabulous Calming Camellia. First I grabbed a piece of Vellum cardstock, I swirled one of the lighter tone blends onto the vellum. Then added 99% alcohol to the ink and used my Heat Tool to “move” the ink and dry it. I used a fine tip applicator to add the alcohol to my vellum. I continued to add different tones to the vellum and experimented with heating then adding more alcohol. Once I achieved a look I was happy with I stamped the Camellia on Vanilla cardstock using the Cinnamon Cider ink. I colored the camellias with the Stampin Up Natural Tone Blends, #800 is one of my favorites. Then I added it to a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock. The Vellum piece was attached to a Vanilla piece then to a Cinnamon Cider cardstock base. Oh, I almost forgot! I added Gilded Leafing to the vellum and the camellia. Beautifulness!!
In the Moment
Here is Rebecka’s stunning card. The base is Vanilla with Cinnamon Cider layered on top and was run through the Hive 3-d folder. Rebecka also added some of the Gilded Leafing on this layer. After some experimenting Rebecka used the Stampin Up Natural Tone Blends to create a watercolor look that she then stamped the Lady on using Staz On Ink. Next she fussy cut the lady and added her to a piece of the On the Horizon DSP. She even tore a piece of DSP and added it to the top with the birds stamped on it. (This started as an oops but ended as an Ahh-ha!). To help the DSP blend in she used a Stampin Up! Blender Pen (glycerin filled pen) dipped in Cinnamon Cider and dabbed it along the torn edge. Wow! It looks like it was meant to be, more Beautifulness!
